Shadows of Scottdale is a downtown horror tour that will explore the dark, TRUE history of Scottdale's dearly departed.

This year’s one-hour tour will feature a collection of new stops and stories of historically accurate tragedies in Scottdale. Expect tales of gruesome murders, robberies, fires, unsolved mysteries, and more. Here are a few teasers for this year’s tour.

"Hell's Half Acre & Murder Bridge" For years, newspapers referred to one of Scottdale's neighborhoods as Hell's Half Acre.  After a railroad accident a murder is revealed which led authorities to look into 17 murder cases over 20 years!

"The Legend of the Irish Phantom" is a historical ghost story about an Irish railroad worker buried beneath the tracks.

"From Sleep to Flames" the untimely demise of 12 homeless men trying to keep warm..

  • Saturday, October 23 | 7p.m., 7:30p.m.*, 8 p.m.*
  • Saturday, October 30 | 9:30p.m.**

*7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. tours will be added as the earlier time slots fill up.  The Tour on Sat., Oct. 30 at 9:30 p.m. will take place after the performance of Misery at the Geyer Performing Arts Center.

After the Shadows of Scottdale Tour

Stay in Scottdale after your Shadows of Scottdale Tour for a screening of a classic movie at the Geyer Performing Arts Center.  A list of movies and weekends shown will be announced soon!

COVID Restrictions

Please review our Release & Waiver Agreement when purchasing a ticket (on the checkout screen).  All attendees for the walking tour are encouraged to wear a mask while checking in for the tour near the Geyer Performing Arts Center and Michael's 50s DIner (formerly Tartals) and suggested while participating in the tour.  We also ask that you maintain social distance from others not in your "bubble" during the walking tour.  If you are not feeling well or experiencing any symptoms of COVID,  please stay home.

Restrictions

Tour contains content not suitable for younger audiences.  Please use discretion.  Children and teens should be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Tours will be held rain or by moonlight.  Please dress accordingly.
